RE/MAX Convention Orlando Florida 2010
We
just returned from RE/MAX
Convention in Florida and what a time we had! I was impressed
by the
achievers in todays real estate market showing up from all around the
globe! It was truly inspiring to meet other agents from
RE/MAX offices
around the globe! South Africa, South America, Italy,
Estonia,
Finland, Australia, Canada from coast to coast, Austria, Spain, Costa
Rica, US Virgin Islands and too many more to possibly mention.
It was
humbling. It was also inspiring to listen share and converse
with some
of the most gifted agents and experts in our business. I
personally
had a chance to speak with some of my industry friends Howard Brinton,
Dave Beson,
Grant Gould of
HomeJunction.Com, Verl Workman,
Eric Blackwell, and yes even Dave Liniger the
founder of RE/MAX. The opening session was truly inspiring
with our
own CEO RE/MAX CEO Margaret Kelly (Board of Directors, Federal
Reserve
Bank of Kansas City-Denver Branch!)
For our opening session, Mary Maitlan and James Carville were our features speakers and in my own opinion, they were the perfect choice for the times in which we live! I listened intently with an open mind, and came a way with many different perspectives from their sharing! Then there was the networking, and since I 'm a technology freak...it was one of the best events I've been to in a long time. I had discussions on Blog platforms, new emerging technologies, SEO chats with probably the best SEO master in the USA- Eric Blackwell! Wow! It was almost too much to take it all in, but I have to admit, I learned so much and collaborated..., and now I am ready to implement even more change into my business, and on line marketing strategies! I also had a chance to meet several Active Rainers and yes, I even had a chance to meet with Brian Block and attended a session panel on Social Media he was on! He was great!
The session ended with Fun Night where the Boys were the entertainment for the evening! Only the best for RE/MAX! Previous years entertainment included Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Doobie Brothers, the Go-Gos and more! Whew! All of this and so much more! I cannot wait until next year in Las Vegas!

Wow Jim! There was quite a lot of great speakers there this year. Didn't know Brian Block was going to be there. Glad you learned a lot. I'm off to read about Eric Blackwell.
Kay Van Kampen, CDPE, Broker, Springfield Missouri Real Estate (RE/MAX Solutions) Brian was there, and Eric Blackwell and I share ideas whenever we get together. He is also a moderator for real estate webmasters. He really knows his stuff!

I was there for the Dubie Brothers. Remax has great conventions.
Glad you had fun, I enjoy watching Mary and James debate each other. I read the book years ago and it was very captivating.
