Atlanta Real Estate Update for March 2010

The most recent sales statistics for Atlanta homes for sale were just released for February 2010. Prices and sales coninue to decline.

At a Glance:

  • 2,763 closed single family detached Atlanta homes in February or a decline of 1.3% from the same period last year.
  • Average closed price for all single family in February was $178,568.
  • The average price for single family Atlanta Condos / Townhomes attached was $145,211 in February 2010.
  • The average price for single family detached Atlanta homes was $184,689 in February 2010.  Down 25% from February 2007's $252M average sale price, and down from the June 2007 high of $292,245.  That is a decline in the all time average sales price of  36.8%

Jim, This data is from Febraury, so by the next time data is available and Springtime sales are known, sales should look brighter!

Larry & Sheila Agranoff Realtors Nassau/Suffolk County Long Island NY (Charles Rutenberg Realty Inc.)  Yes these are February's numbers but they are the most current..., I am afraid the trends has not shown any positive signs in a while.  Most sales are distress sales and are under 100K.
