Lake Lanier. What a spectacularly beautiful place.
Want to go fishing in Lake Lanier? Since I've done that, I can give a bit of advice. Lake Lanier is a DEEP water lake. Took me a few hours to realize that what worked in Buggs Island Lake on the NC border didn't work in Lake Lanier. The Spinner Baits and plastic worms were doing NOTHING.
So, I went to the diving plugs and SUCCESS. Dang fish were hanging around 15 feet down and about 20 feet out. Caught lots of Smallmouth, which should have been another clue.
